will take you to a larger version so you can see the carved lines

We have only this one set that was acquired
from a bankruptcy court as an asset liquidation of a major high
end jewelry store that went out of business. When gold was $800oz
these were valued at $2,250 and today gold is on the verge of
breaking $1,500oz. Today's value would be $5,000 or more.
Traditionally, cameos were worn by men
only, used to adorn rings, seals, crests, armor, sword and knife
handles for luck in battle. The higher the quality, the higher
the social standing. Much like today, a very high quality item
sets oneself into another social class. These are of that bespoke
quality.
