Pineapple jewelry has long been regarded as the hospitality symbol of cities, bed & breakfast inns, motels and restaurants. We have selected the baby pineapples found on hospitality wreaths for earrings, Hawaiian and traditional pineapples for pendants, earrings and bracelets. All pineapples are 14kt yellow gold unless marked otherwise.

Originally, the pineapple was put out on the fence posts of homes in seaport towns to let sailors know there was a room available. It has come to be an internationally recognized symbol of hospitality and Bed & Breakfast. On old four poster beds with pineapples at the top of each, when 'company' had overstayed their welcome at your home, the pineapple was removed! This was their polite hint to leave!
